Tuesday Morning MBTA Delays

BOSTON (WBZ-AM) - The MBTA is asking riders to give themselves an extra 10-15 minutes of travel time on Tuesday morning, citing icy conditions and extreme temperatures.

“Since the start of this storm, we have had crews out across the MBTA system clearing snow and ice from parking facilities, station platforms, pedestrian paths, bus stops, switches, overhead wires, and other critical infrastructure,” MBTA General Manager Steve Poftak said in a statement.

“However, because of the winds and extreme cold that are predicted to last through tomorrow morning, we want to remind our customers allow for extra travel time tomorrow morning, and be mindful of icy conditions and be extra cautious when walking to and from their bus stops, stations, and their vehicles when parked at MBTA parking facilities.”

Customers can get the latest service information at MBTA.com/Winter.
