Exeter Police Investigate School Bus Crash With Students On Board

EXETER, New Hampshire (WBZNewsRadio) — The Exeter Police Department is investigating a school bus that crashed while driving students home on Monday afternoon.

There were 13 students on the school bus when it struck a tree and a mailbox in the area of 115 Linden Street in Exeter, New Hampshire, according to a preliminary investigation. The bus driver was treated for a hand injury and two students were evaluated by Exeter Fire Department after complaining of minor head pain, officials said.

The students riding the bus, operated by First Student, were ages 11 to 14. After the crash, First Student sent another bus to the scene to pick up the students.

The bus sustained significant damage to the right front side causing the door not to open and forcing students to leave through the exit rear door, Exeter Police said.
