Man Identified In Fatal Construction Accident At Brockton Hospital Site

BROCKTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police are investigating after a man was killed while working at the Brockton Hospital construction site on Tuesday.

Plymouth County DA Timothy Cruz has identified the man as 63-year-old Roger Porter of East Sandwich.

Just after noon, police got reports that a man was trapped by a Bobcat while it was operating off of Quincy Avenue on the back side of Brockton Hospital construction site.

Massachusetts State Police, Brockton Police, and OSHA responded to the scene and found Porter trapped while leveling out gravel, DA Cruz said.

There is no further information on how the accident happened.

Police and detectives are investigating.
