SUV Crashes Into Groveland Retirement Community, Injures Three

GROVELAND, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Three people are injured after an SUV crashed into an assisted living center in Groveland Monday morning.

Police got reports of the accident at Nichols Village around 10:38 a.m.

When first responders arrived, they found that an 83-year-old man was driving a Lexus RX350 when he crashed into a building at 1 Nichols Way, officials said.

The driver and two occupants of a multi-family unit were injured in the crash.

An 84-year-old woman and the driver both received medical care at the scene before being transported to a local hospital. A second person was treated at the scene, said Fire Chief Robert Valentine.

National Grid was at the scene to make sure the gas system was not compromised in the crash.
