The Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to her third child, according to Kensington Palace.

The duchess, the former Kate Middleton, gave birth to a boy weighing 8 pounds, 7 ounces at 11:01 a.m. local time at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, London.

"The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news," Kensington Palace said in a statement.

The baby is now the fifth in line to the British throne, as the younger brother of Price George, 4 and Princess Charlotte, 2.
