MATTAPAN (WBZ-AM) -- A man died after being shot in Mattapan Tuesday morning.

Boston Police said they responded to a house on Evelyn Street around 10:40 a.m.

They found the man, believed to be in his thirties, suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to an area hospital, where he later died. He has not yet been identified.

"This does not appear to be a random act at all," Boston Police Superintendent-In-Chief William Gross said at the scene. "Parties are known to each other allegedly, and at this time, its still an active investigation."

Boston Police said the shooting is still under investigation, and urged anyone with additional information to contact them.
