BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- For months, Celtics fans and NBA followers have wondered whether Kyrie Irving will re-sign in Boston when he's a free agent in 2019.

The All-Star's been very non-committal about his future, but ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski recently said on his "Woj Pod" podcast he believes Irving isn't headed anywhere.

"Listen, I still would take Boston against the rest of the field for this reason," Woj said. "Because I still think in the end, there comes a moment of truth when you look around and you have to make a decision about somewhere else, and when you really start inspecting the questions that are in almost any other circumstance he'd go to, you'd say, boy, it's pretty good here."

"I still think Boston is in position, from top to bottom," he said. "If he's healthy and that team achieves, I still think it's going to be really hard to walk away from this."

Training camp opens this month, and the C's are championship contenders.

The wait on Irving? That'll last a while.
