Judge Shelley M. Richmond Joseph and former trial court officer Wesley MacGregor are accused of scheming to allow the man to escape. Were the actions of the judge and the officer an abuse of power?

Texas Executes Hate Murderer After Decades of Appeals. John William King, convicted for the dragging death of James Byrd Jr. -- one of the most horrific hate crimes in modern American history -- was executed by injection last night in a Texas prison after 20 years of appeals.
