BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston's Annual First Night celebration gets underway in Copley Square at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday morning and will continue throughout the day, concluding with fireworks on the Harbor to ring in 2020 just after midnight.

Mayor Marty Walsh and other city officials want to remind all event goers that this is a family friendly event, where booze, marijuana and drones are not permitted.

Here is a rundown of the events today at Copley:

11:30 a.m. — Moment of Silence for Brandon McSweeney, the 34-year-old Sherborn man who died Saturday while setting up First Night.

11:45 a.m. — The Dempsey Sisters take the stage as the event's first musical performance.

12 p.m. til 12:30 a.m. — Various Musical Acts on the Main Stage in Copley Square.

1:15 p.m. — ImprovBoston at Boston Public Library.

1:30 p.m til 4 p.m. — Puppet Showplace Theater at Copley Place Mall.

1:30 p.m. til 4:15 p.m. — Drumming About You, an interactive drumming act where everyone joins in to recreate hit songs, at Boston Public Library.

4 p.m. — First Night Organ Concert at First Church of Christ Scientist.

5:30 p.m. — Frog Pond Skating Spectacular.

6:30 p.m. — A second moment of silence for Brandon McSweeney, the worker who was killed earlier this week during First Night preparations.

7 p.m. — Family Fireworks at the Boston Common.

8 p.m. — Pipes and Pops concert at Old South Church.

11:30 p.m. — Pop punk band Single By Sunday takes the main stage.

Midnight — Fireworks over the Harbor as part of the final countdown to the New Year.

There will be children's and Indoor activities all days at the Boston Public Library and Copley Place Mall.

The Ice Sculptures will be located in the Copley Square Fountain and the Square itself. They will be in place sometime during the afternoon,but the exact time depends on the weather.
