Worcester Patient Quarantined After Returning From China

WORCETER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A patient under quarantine at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester who had recently returned from a trip to China has now been released.

While the woman was not showing any signs of the Coronavirus, she was being quarantined for an unrelated-Coronavirus health issue.

The patient was also being monitored by the Department of Public Health.

UMass Memorial Hospital confirms to WBZ NewsRadio that the quarantine on that patient has now been lifted.

As of Tuesday morning, the Coronavirus outbreak had impacted 37 countries and territories, with the vast majority of cases still in China.
