DORCHESTER (WBZNewsRadio) - Kids across the city of Boston got a chance to look their best ahead of back to school this week. The Office of Black Male Advancement partnered with four local barbershops to provide free back to school haircuts.

This initiative, through My Brother's Keeper Boston, took place in East Boston, Mattapan, Dorchester and Mission Hill on Monday and Tuesday.

"I give happiness." Herbert Hilden, the co-owner of Celebrity Cuts Barbershop in Dorchester said. "I feel joy in myself."

Along with Celebrity Cuts, the 809 Barbership in East Boston, Barbertime @ The Biz Barbshop in Mattapan, and In The Cut Barbershop in Mission Hill, all offered the free cuts.
