Somerville Warns Residents Of Door-To-Door Magazine Subscription Scam

SOMERVILLE, Mass. (WBZNewsRadio) - Police in Somerville are warning residents after reports of a door-to-door magazine subscription scam in the city.

Police said they've received a report of the door-to-door scam in the area of Prichard and Kidder Avenues.

It's important to note that door-to-door solicitors are required to register with the police department's Records Division and should be carrying documentation that proves such. If the person cannot provide this documentation, residents can double check the registration by calling the SPD Records Division at 617-625-1600 x 7244.
