WATERTOWN, Mass. (WBZNewsRadio) - Police in Watertown are asking for the public's help to identify a driver, they believe intentionally ran over a goose on Charles River Road.

On Wednesday, July 19, traffic was stopped while a group of geese tried to cross the road. Instead of waiting with the rest of traffic, a silver Nissan allegedly drove onto the bike lane before intentionally hitting one of the geese.

Now authorities are asking residents and businesses in the area to check their surveillance cameras for anything that might help investigators identify the car or driver.

Anyone with any information is encouraged to call Animal Control Officer Gatchell at 617-972-6446 or send an email to sgatchell@watertown-ma.gov.
