Rep. Ayanna Pressley Endorses Sen. Elizabeth Warren For President

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Rep. Ayanna Pressley has announced her endorsement of fellow Democrat and Bay Stater Sen. Elizabeth Warren in the 2020 presidential race.

In the video above, Pressley, who represents the seventh Massachusetts congressional district, cites Warren's commitment to "big structural change"—policies that Pressley says would "restore power to those who have been left behind."

"The American people deserve to be represented by elected officials who see them, who listen to them, and who fight for them," Pressley said. "I have seen Elizabeth in small church basements and in packed gymnasiums, and she is consistent. She never loses sight of the people."

The three other members of the so-called "squad"—Reps. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib, who, along with Pressley, have been sharply critical of President Donald Trump—have all endorsed Sen. Bernie Sanders.
