Bad Weather Delays Opening Of Worcester Mass Vaccination Site

WORCESTER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Bad weather pushed back the launch of Massachusetts’ sixth large-scale vaccination site from Tuesday morning to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

The site at Worcester State University will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. pending on the weather and vaccine availability.

Any appointments that were scheduled between 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday have been moved to those same times on Saturday, Feb. 20.

Officials with Commonwealth Medicine and Saint Vincent Hospital are aiming for a thousand vaccine doses administered per day, with an eventual goal of 2,000 a day.
