Blackstone Police Arrest Suspect In Fatal Stabbing

BLACKSTONE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A 32-year-old man was arrested for stabbing another man to death Saturday morning, Blackstone Police said.

Authorities said police received to a report of an assault at a house on Blackstone Street at around 11 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a 42-year-old man suffering from a stab wound.

The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

After an investigation conducted by Blackstone Police and Massachusetts State Police Detectives from the Worcester County District Attorney's Office, the suspect was arrested, police said.

The suspect is expected to to be arraigned in Uxbridge District Court on Monday on charges of murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury.

The identifies of the suspect and victim have not been released at this time due to the domestic nature of the incident, officials said.
