QUINCY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Greater Boston area has a new professional sports team to follow.

Beginning in May, the Boston Brigade is one of four teams kicking off the inaugural season of the first professional American Flag Football League - the AFFL.

The team will be playing at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Quincy.

Head Coach Matt Bailey said his team is made up of great athletes. "A lot of players aren't hiding behind pads and a mask, so you have that really personal interaction with players which I think is great," he said. "Flag football is different. There's just no sport like it."

Bailey spent 20 years playing flag football.

The Brigade starts its season on May 11.
