Boston Police Investigate Two Separate Fatal Shootings

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Boston Police Department is investigating two separate fatal shootings that happened in the early hours of Sunday.

BPD said the first shooting happened at about 12:50 a.m. in the area of 18 Adams Street in Roxbury. An adult male victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead on the scene.

The second shooting happened shortly before 2 a.m., less than five miles away in the area of 25 Regis Road in Mattapan. BPD said officers found an adult male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

According to BPD, it is "actively reviewing the facts and circumstances" surrounding both incidents, and is "asking anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470."
