LOUDON, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — It's live free and thankfully dry enough in New Hampshire for National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR)'s Cup Series Race.
After torrential rain, flood warnings, and tornado warnings, delayed Sunday's race, tailgaters reached Louden to wade in the waters outside the track. Some out-of-staters like Jeremy Allen of New York tell WBZ's Shari Small that he, along with his niece and nephew, drove all the way back home Sunday, only to return to Louden in the morning.

"We could tell on the way here it wasn't going to be great, we got here and were here for about half hour until they called it. We drove three hours back home— since it was these guys first time we didn't want to disappoint them, so we came back out," Allen said.
JT from Watertown, N.Y. agreed that a 600-mile trip to see NASCAR was well worth it, and said he had no problem waiting out the weather.
"Not an inconvenience at all— we had a great time waiting out the storm in the hotel. Doing a few odds and ends shopping to prepare for today, stuff that I may have forgotten— and bam! Found a lot of good deals on adult beverages, stock provisions," JT said.

As for aspirations in Monday's race, JT said he's got high hopes.
"I want to see somebody take out Dirty Denny, and if they can get the 23 out and the eight it would be a great day," JT said.
