Shuttles Replace Green Line Service

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Shuttle buses ran on a portion of the Green Line after a downed tree caused problems on the green line Thursday morning.

MBTA workers cleared the tree near the Brookline Hills area of the D branch, but utilities still had to work to repair the overhead power lines, and the tracks had to be inspected. Service between the Kenmore and Reservoir stops was affected.

MBTA spokesperson Joe Pesaturo said there were 36 shuttle buses operating between Reservoir and Kenmore.

Service was restored around 8:30 a.m.
