Danvers Teacher Arraigned On Indecent Assault Charges

DANVERS, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Danvers teacher arrested Wednesday in the alleged sexual assault of a student was arraigned Thursday morning in Salem District Court.

Robert Vandenbulcke, a culinary arts teacher at Essex North Shore Agricultural & Technical School, is charged with two counts of indecent assault and battery on a person over 14.

The Essex DA's office said Vandenbulcke allegedly pressed the back of his hand to a student's groin on two separate occasions at the school.

Vandenbulcke posted $5,000 bail, and was released from custody to his home in Maine. He was ordered to stay away from and have no contact with the victim, a witness, and the school.
