BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) – Fenway Park was electric Tuesday night as Boston defeated the Yankees 6 to 2 and Red Sox fans were all smiles as the team prepares for Tampa Bay.

It was an exciting night for both fans watching from home and those watching from the stands. Loyal spectators had a gut feeling that the Sox would reign supreme.

“After Bogaerts hit that blast I expected them to win,” said one fan who watched the game at home. “I had the TV turned all the way down and I still could hear it. It was crazy.”

Another fan, hoarse from screaming at Fenway, said the feeling from being at the game was incredible.

“I flew in from Philadelphia,” they said. “It was a great time.”

The Red Sox will face the Tampa Bay Rays in game one of the division series Thursday night in St. Petersburg.
