Mattapan Street Reopened After Truck Spills Trash

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Crews spent about an hour cleaning up after a truck spilled garbage across a large swath of road in Mattapan near Blue Hill Avenue Thursday morning.

Massachusetts State Police said a truck spilled trash for about 75 yards, blocking the two westbound lanes of Morton Street from Norfolk Street to Verrill Street.

They warned drivers to avoid the area, and set up detours. The cleanup was finished and all lanes were reopened around 7:30 a.m.
