HOLYOKE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A murder suspect who was put on Massachusetts State Police's Most Wanted list last week surrendered Thursday, State Police said.

Evdyele Oneil Pabon Flores, 21, of Springfield, was wanted for the murder of Luis Ramos on Dec. 7, 2022 in Holyoke.

According to police, Holyoke officers responded to a call of shots fired at the intersection of Pine and Sergeant streets around 8:20 p.m. and found two unoccupied vehicles that appeared to have gotten into a collision, as well as several spent shell casings. Ramos was found lying face down in a nearby backyard with a gunshot wound to the stomach and transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation by police identified Pabon Flores as the suspected gunman, who allegedly fired more than 10 rounds at Ramos after their two vehicles got into a collision that night. A warrant was put out for Pabon Flores' arrest with the State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section actively searched for him.

State Police said Pabon Flores surrendered shortly after 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holyoke District Court. Holyoke Police transported him to their station, where he was booked and processed. He was then brought back to the courthouse where he was arraigned on the murder charge.

Pabon Flores was held without bail on the murder warrant and his existing bail for a separate ongoing case in Chicopee District Court case was revoked.
