SHELBURNE FALLS, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — During an overnight shift at Shelburne Falls-State Police, Massachusetts State Troopers Owen King, and Katherine Newell were called to a location on Rte. 91 for an unusual call.

They were looking for an injured owl.

Using their 'eagle eyes', the troopers were able to locate the injured bird who was on the northbound side of the highway in Deerfield.

They brought the owl back to the barracks and arrangements were made to get the bird to the Birds of Prey Rehabilitation Center for treatment.
