John Krasinski Hosts Virtual Prom For High School Seniors

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Actor and Massachusetts-native John Krasinski is hosting a virtual prom for high school seniors whose dance was cancelled amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Krasinski currently hosts the YouTube show "Some Good News," aimed at providing positive updates amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The virtual prom is scheduled for Friday at 8 p.m. EST. Krasinski says he'll DJ live on YouTube.

Previously on his YouTube show, Krasinski and Red Sox legend David Ortiz treated Boston health care workers to a baseball surprise. Big Papi said the Sox would be giving the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center's COVID unit workers four free Fenway tickets for life as a sign of appreciation for their work on the front lines of the pandemic.
