LYNN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – Purging plastic never looked so good for this community just north of Boston.

Nathan Gray is the founder of House Factory, a company that creates building materials out of recycling plastic products.

Gray was hired by the city of Lynn to create park benches made from recycled bottle caps. He said these caps were gathered through local clubs and other organizations in the city.

“We’ve created a 100% plastic waste-recycled bench,” he said. “We did this by collecting bottle caps from the city of Lynn.”

Gray said thousands of caps were collected in total to create three benches – one weighing in at 37 pounds of recycled bottle caps.
