Marlborough Man Arraigned On Gun Charges After Alleged Bomb Threat

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A district court judge ordered a Marlborough man held without bail after he was arraigned on gun charges there on Thursday. The FBI, Marlborough Police and other agencies arrested Colin Calabrese on Wednesday after a raid of his Highland Street home.

The agencies got a search warrant for Calabrese's house after he allegedly made threats against U.S. public officials and law enforcement. Investigators also accused Calabrese of making a bomb threat against an unnamed "major media outlet" online.

They also said the man had made several references to his guns and references to explosives he owned between June 2020 and this summer.

Calabrese was charged with counts of firearm and ammo possession without a license, improper storage counts, and large capacity gun and magazine charges. He will have to attend a dangerousness hearing next Wednesday.
