BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Under circumstances prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mayor Marty Walsh would be leading Boston's delegation of delegates on the floor of the Democratic National Convention. However, this year, like many others, could only watch from home.
One of the DNC's most notable moments was when former First Lady Michelle Obama gave the opening night address, which criticized President Trump.
"Her message was right on point, she was talking the president of the United States right now who is not capable of leading our country forward and the need for change," Walsh said. "I certainly support her in that."
Walsh said the televised, virtual convention reflects the values the party and it's Presidential Nominee Joe Biden, stand for.
"Certainly showed a picture of the United States of America, and I think that that's what people want to see: a leadership in Washington DC that represents all people," Walsh said..
