BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Evelyn Moakley Bridge between downtown Boston and the Seaport is back open for pedestrians after a woman was injured by a falling light pole on Tuesday. Boston Police said the incident happened at about 3:00 PM on Tuesday.

The woman had serious, but not life-threatening injuries. Police said she was taken to a local hospital and was in stable condition at last check. The bridge was closed to pedestrians as crews worked to look at the rest of the poles.

A spokeswoman from Boston City Hall said the city took out 23 light poles after the incident.
