Police Investigating Armed Robbery At Milford Smoke Shop

MILFORD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police in Milford, Mass. are investigating following an armed robbery Sunday night at the Smoke Shop on Medway Road.

The robbery happened shortly after 8 p.m. Security footage from the shop showed two suspects brandishing two handguns and taking a large amount of cash. A third suspect was also spotted outside by the get-away vehicle.

Police said an officer saw the suspects’ vehicle driving at a high rate of speed and a police chase ensued. The suspects’ car ran a red light at the intersection of Route 109 and Birch Street before colliding with another vehicle.

According to authorities, the suspects ran away from the vehicle. The person in the other car was injured and taken to Milford Hospital. Police said they found two handguns in the suspect’s car.

Police are currently searching for the suspects. They are both described as dark skin men. One is 6 feet tall and wearing dark pants and a dark hoodie with a white emblem. The other man is 5 feet 5 inches, and is masked, wearing dark pants, a dark knit hat, and a white or grey hoodie.

“After committing the robbery they left to a waiting car parked in front with another person waiting who was the driver of the car where they later crashed and fled,” police said.
