Report Names Best High Schools In Massachusetts

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — If you have a child that attends a school in Massachusetts then chances are they probably attend a great school.

This is a according to a new report by U.S. News and World Report with their annual ranking list of best public high schools across the country.

The publications looked at 17,000 high schools found that schools across the state on average were better to other states.

342 schools across the Commonwealth dominated the top High School rankings this year.

According to the report, nearly 49-percent of the schools across the state eligible schools were in the top 25-percent of the Best High School rankings, followed by Maryland at almost 44-percent, California at 40-percent and Connecticut at slightly below 40-percent.

The publication bases ranking on the following criteria’s: college readiness, college curriculum breadth, math and reading proficiency, math and reading performance, student performance, and graduation rate.
