BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — One of Boston's busiest vegetable gardens is also at the oldest major league ballpark in America, Fenway Park.
Green City Growers— a Somerville-based green roofing company— works with the Red Sox, Aramark, and Fenway Park to maintain Fenway Farms which is a 5,000 square foot rooftop farm. The garden is located on the Third Base side of the EMC Level.
Fenway Farms was launched opening day of 2015 season and harvests over 6,000 pounds of fresh produce and herbs every growing season.
"The magic of being connected with plants and soil and people in those spaces is so powerful," the president of Greenway City Growers Christopher Grallert said. "On this rooftop we can grow from asparagus to zucchini to everything in between."

From the staircase next to Gate A, ballpark goers can view the garden and catch a glimpse of farmers maintaining it.
