SALEM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — The North Shore has a new way of delivering food to people in need.

People have been coming to a parking lot on Highland Avenue in Salem to get food from the Salem Pantry that's now using a delivery truck it got two months ago.

Carlos Morales is the mobile pantry manager for the Salem Pantry, and he said the new truck is like a mini farmer's truck on wheels they are using to stock and deliver food to people in need who also have mobility issues. "This is a new way the Salem Pantry is bringing food to the communities," Carlos said. "A lot of our clients are disabled and it's too difficult to get to the market, so we bring the food to them."

WBZ's Carl Stevens (@CarlWBZ) reports.
