RAYNHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Massachusetts State Police are investigating a crash in Raynham Thursday night that left a child seriously hurt.
It happened shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Route 24 south, prior to the Route 44 exit.
Police said the crash involved two in cars. One was a Volvo S60 sedan driven by a 17-year-old boy from Taunton. The other car was Toyota Sienna van driven by a 28-year-old Fall River woman. Three passengers were in the van, including two young children and a 40-year-old Fall River man.

According to police, the driver of the van was changing lines at the time. The front of the Volvo then hit the end back of the van in the right lane, causing both vehicles to spin out of control.
A one-year-old child, who was in the van, was taken to Boston Children's Hospital with serious injuries. The other child and both adult passengers were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton with minor injuries.
The driver of the Volvo was taken to Morton Hospital in Taunton with minor injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
