HOPKINTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — State Police are on the lookout for a truck that they say hit a parked State Police cruiser and injured a Trooper.

The crash happened on I-495 North in Hopkinton at around 10:30 AM on Wednesday. Police said a State Trooper was outside of his cruiser, checking on a different tractor-trailer that was pulled over on the side of the road when the truck hit him and the cruiser, and drove away.

The trooper's arm and hands were injured and he was taken to a hospital.

State police released dashcam footage from the crash, showing a white trailer with a blue cab. They believe the truck is a Freightliner made between 1998-2001, and might have minor damage to its passenger side.

Police are asking anyone with information to reach out.
