BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) – A local filmmaker is hoping that his upcoming release will help people process the events of a year that most Americans would rather forget.

Before the pandemic, Rod Webber was planning on making a funny documentary about the 2020 election.

However, the culmination of the election, George Floyd’s death and the sequential protests inspired Webber to venture in a new direction.

“It was dumpster fire and that’s why it had to be called that.”

“Power needs to be called out whether Democrat or Republican,” he said. “From my position they all serve the same masters.

The fill will be on Apple TV+ in December.
