This May Be Why Your Stimulus Check Hasn't Arrived Yet

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Although the IRS says stimulus payments of $600 have been processed, many taxpayers say they haven't seen the funds reach their bank accounts yet.

The IRS began issuing the federal stimulus checks last week. However, many people were surprised to see on the government website their payment had processes, but not into a bank account they recognized.

According to the IRS, those stimulus payments were sent to the tax preparation service the taxpayer used, like TurboTax or H&R Block.

H&R Block said the IRS has sent them the stimulus money, which will in turn be directly deposited into their customers' own bank accounts.

A spokesman for the company said millions of people have already received their payments, and the remaining deposits are expected to be processed late Wednesday.
