Two Killed In Boston Rideshare Tow Truck Crash

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Massachusetts State Police said two rideshare passengers are dead after a serious crash on I-93 North on Saturday night. Police said a Lexus SUV rideshare carrying two passengers slowed down on 93 before Exit 20 at about 10:00 PM, and was rear-ended by a Kenworth tow truck.

The two women were trapped inside the SUV and were later declared dead on the scene. They were later identified Delanie Fekert, 25, of Floral Park, N.Y., and Urashi Madani, 25, of North Andover.

The driver of the car, a 53-year-old man from Revere, was seriously injured, but the tow truck driver was not. Police are still investigating to see if any charges will be pressed.

The crash resulted in lane closures until about 1:45 AM.
