Viral Video Stunt Is A Crime, Burlington Police Say

BURLINGTON, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Burlington Police are trying to find two suspects involved in damaging a resident's fence, in what appeared to be an attempt to film a viral video.

On Friday, July 3rd, Burlington Police said they were "trying to identify" the two people involved in the incident, which was caught on a Ring surveillance camera.

In the video shared by Burlington PD, a sedan is seen driving down a residential street in the dark, coming to a stop next to a tall white fence, which surrounds someone's back yard.

Two people can then be seen exiting the car. One person climbs onto the fence to peer over and see what is on the other side.

The video then shows the person jumping down and taking a long run up to the fence before crashing through it, into the resident's yard.

Meanwhile, a second person by the car appears to film the incident on a cellphone.

The person who ran through the fence is then seen standing back up, running to the car, and driving away with their companion who filmed the incident in the back seat.

BPD asked anyone who recognized "any of the individuals, the vehicle, or have seen this attempt at a viral video shared anywhere" to contact their office at 781-272-1212.
