Virginia Man Arrested In Dartmouth Road Rage Incident

DARTMOUTH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Police in Dartmouth arrested a Virginia man following a road rage incident Saturday night.

Michael Couture, 56, allegedly pointed a gun at a woman driver while they were stopped at a traffic light on State Road around 8 p.m. He was described to have been driving a dark-colored pickup truck.

Police later located the pickup truck shortly after the woman reported the incident.

Inside the truck, authorities found a loaded handgun as well as an open bottle of alcohol. Empty bottles of alcohol were also found.

Couture was arrested and is now facing charges, including assault with a dangerous weapon, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, and driving under the influence of alcohol.
