WEYMOUTH, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Jim Lawlor has frozen, packed and shipped Asian food from Massachusetts restaurants to customers as far south as Florida.

His company, Bamboos Nation Interstate, sends food from Salem's Fantasy Island, Dedham's Tahiti Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge, Saugus' Kowloon Restaurant and Hanover's Imperial Garden to former New Englanders nationwide.

"If you love and miss that unique Boston & New England style Chinese food that you just can’t find anywhere else, we’re here to help," Lawlor said on Facebook earlier this month.

About 40 percent of Lawlor's customers order from Kowloon, Lawlor told WBZ NewsRadio's Jim MacKay. He sends orders to Florida more than any other state.

Lawlor freezes each order before shipping it out of his headquarters in Weymouth, Mass.

The company says it will soon add Brookline's Golden Temple to its restaurant lineup.
